Some useful tips for those who need to use a high pressure washer for the first time. Follow these tips and read the user manual of your model and you will not have problems!
> Before you begin... Read the first part of the guide: How to choose the cleaner
The correct procedure for the use of the cleaner depends on your model and what you need to clean. But there are still general rules that it is always good to follow:
Make sure you have a good grip. The force with which the jet of water hurls itself against the surface it is not to be underestimated and can cause a slight "backlash", making you lose the balance if you don't have the feet welded to the ground. Hold firmly the spear and make sure that there is the risk of slipping.
Protect yourself. Wearing goggles to prevent the water makes splashes in the eyes and shoes non-slip for non-slip where it is wet.
Protect the surface you're cleaning. Try to work with large movements, not to concentrate power in a single point for too long thus risking damage to it.
Choose the nozzle thoroughly. The more the nozzle is tight (with a reduced angle) the more the jet flowing out will be focused (and hence powerful). Use narrow tips when you need to remove the dirt concentrated on precise points of resistant surfaces, such as iron and cement. For general cleanings, then when the dirt is not concentrated in a point, you use nozzles with larger angle. With the latter, in fact, the water jet will be larger, and thus the power of the impact will be reduced.
Begins gradually. Pressure washers have enough pressure in the water jet, you can actually damage the surfaces. It is best to start not too close to the surface, testing the power of the cleaner, and then approach slowly until you reach the right distance that will allow you to wash the surface without causing any damage.
Pays maximum attention to what is around you: do not use the cleaner in close proximity to electrical equipment, people, animals and plants.
All the tips to make the best use of your washer, the nozzles are more suitable for various works, the recommended distance from certain surfaces, the DPI to use, and all the rest can be found inside the manual for your model.
